I am a proud North Dakota farm girl, and I grew up on the farm my mother did near Wimbledon, ND. In 2006, I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music (emphasis in Clarinet Performance) from Northern State University, in Aberdeen, SD. During the summers of 2006 and 2007, I performed as a Burning Hills Singer in the Medora Musical alongside my husband Levi. I have enjoyed internships with the ND Council on the Arts and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC; and past employment with the University of North Dakota Foundation and the Empire Arts Center in Grand Forks, ND. Levi and I recently bought our first house and moved to Bismarck in May of 2010, and I am currently the Development Manager for the Bismarck State College Foundation. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, vegetable gardening, skiing (cross-country and downhill), and spending time outdoors. I also serve as a Board Member for the ND Alliance for Arts Education.
Levi is from Crosby, ND. He is an Eagle Scout who graduated from Divide County High School in 2003. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in music from Concordia College, Moorhead, in 2006. During his summers throughout college, he and his wife, Bethany, performed as Burning Hills Singers in the Medora Musical. After college, Levi and Bethany moved to Washington, D.C., where he served as an intern on capital hill for Senator. Kent Conrad. Levi attended the UND School of Law, where he served as editor in chief of the North Dakota Law Review. He currently serves as law clerk to Chief Justice Gerald W. VandeWalle of the North Dakota Supreme Court. Levi will join the Vogel Law Firm in Bismarck after completing his clerkship. Levi loves spending time with his wife, cooking, exercising, traveling, making music, and the outdoors.
